Seminar series – Power and Society in the Later Middle Ages

Seminar series – Power and Society in the Later Middle Ages

This group comprises historians of the later Middle Ages (c. 1000-1500) working across and beyond Western Europe, including France, England, Italy, Iberia, the Near East and, of course, the Low Countries. We explore questions related to identity formation (including territoriality and health), social dynamics (including communication), political representation, legitimation and resistance, and the role that texts, rituals, the built environment and material culture played in shaping them.

From 10 October this group will present various seminar focusing on Power and Society in the Later Middle Ages. You are warmly invited to attend.
